WordPress has been updated to 2.8.4, securing it from the vulnerability discovered yesterday that permits the admin password to be reset by passing an empty array as the key parameter to a reset request:

This will fail now 
Trying out the Smells like Facebook theme. I kind of like it; it’s something different, at least.
The only problem I can think of is that it uses JavaScript to show some content, which may be enough of a reason in the future to change themes back.
Edit: The theme ended up taking control of my space. I chose a simpler theme that also has the benefit of displaying just as well with NoScript on as with it off.
Screw it, I’m changing back to the classic theme. This is due to the to the status page (single-post view) being mangled by the sidebar.
Updated WordPress to 2.8. Had to restore from backup a few times due to unsuccessful attempts, but everything works now.
A little administrative message… I have moved the blog to http://www.startcodon.com/wordpress instead of http://www.startcodon.com
301 redirects are in place.
301s have been gone for a while now. Now there’s just a little notice on the root with links to this blog and my girlfriend’s blog.
